These are the things every home seller should do before listing.
Our summer market has certainly picked up in the Washington D.C. area, so today I’m answering the question, “What can I do to prepare my home for sale?” There are four main things you should do:
1. Meet with a listing agent. Set up a consultation and come up with a plan.
“Do a deep clean of every area in your home.”
2. Make improvements. You may not need to make many upgrades in our current market, but there are certain things that buyers are looking for, and I can help you figure out what those things are.
3. Declutter and clean. You need to get everything out of the house that doesn’t need to be there and do a deep clean of every area in your home.
4. Stage and take photos. Having your home professionally staged and photographed makes all the difference in the world. Here at The Gresh Group, we have the best photographers and stagers who will help your home look great online.
Once you follow these tips, you’ll be ready to get your home on the market and start receiving offers. If you have any questions for me, want to know the latest market stats, or just need some advice, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I look forward to hearing from you.
